Services for Evelyn C. Dickey, 90, of Brundidge who died Monday, March 16, 2009 after an extended illness at Troy Health and Rehab will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge with the Revs. Ronnie Jackson and Elmer Ellis and Minister Elisha Freeman officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Crossroads Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 18 at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Dickey; parents, Charlie and Minnie Shiver; brother, Woodrow Shiver and a sister, Vonnie Flowers.
Mrs. Dickey is survived by her children, Mary and Tom Richards of Hickory, N.C., Jimmy and Elaine Dickey of Brundidge and Linda and Sam Pitts of Ozark; grandchildren, Michelle and Steve Stump and Melissa and Sam Glover both of Ozark, Tommy and Amy Richards, David and Kerrianne Richards and Bobby and Giovanni Richards all of North Carolina; five great-grandchildren, and one brother, Hubbert Shiver of Brundidge.
Pallbearers will be Sam Glover, Sam Pitts, Charles Senn, Bill Shiver, Harry Sanders and Melvin Ellis.
The family of Mrs. Dickey wishes to extend a special thanks to the employees of Troy Health and Rehab for their kindness and care during her illness.
