Services for Catherine (May) Austin, 84, of Banks who died Wednesday, March 11, 2009 will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2009 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Revs. Wayne Williams, Claude Adams and Donnie Dunn officiating.
Burial will be in Sandfield Cemetery under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 12 at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Austin; parents, Charlie and Hattie May; grandson, Christopher Ledford; five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include her children, Myra A. Brooks and Cherry and Raymond Ledford, James (Red) Austin, Wyatt and Diane Austin, Jackie A. Johnston and Lyndon Austin; sister-in-law, Kathleen Niles of Long Beach, Calif.; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several other nieces and nephews.
