Services for Rita Faye Sanders, 64, of Fleetwood, who died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at her home will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Fleetwood Baptist Church with Reverends .W.O. Sanders, David Richburg and James Owens officiating. There will be a one hour lie-in-state at the church prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery in Glenwood under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. March 9 at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Ted Sanders of Fleetwood; son, Greg Sanders of Fleetwood; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Chris Thomas of Fleetwood; two grandchildren, Trent Thomas and Anna Grace Thomas; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Mack and Mae Rhodes of Fleetwood, Marcus and Lois Rhodes of Huntsville and Paul and Joan Rhodes of Fleetwood; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Mack Rhodes, Marcus Rhodes, Paul Rhodes, Walter Sanders, Ned Sanders and Benny Pyron. Honorary pallbearers will be Faye’s Sunday School Class at Fleetwood Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Fleetwood Baptist Church window fund.
