Bulldogs baseball, softball lose

The Pike County Bulldogs baseball team lost a trio of games last weekend in the Eagle Invitational.

The Bulldogs (2-5) lost 14-4 to Carroll in the first game.

Ryan Stroud, Jacquez Walker, Deion Nickson and Cody Sanders each scored one run. Geovany Hamilton registered one hit.

PCHS lost 12-5 to Providence Christian in the second game.

Stroud, Walker, Nickson, Zack Ming and Martin Larkin each scored a run. Walker had three hits. Stroud, Larkin, Sanders and Hamilton each had two hits.

In the third game, Pike County lost 14-7 to Holmes County (Fla.).

Stroud and Corey Lee each had two runs scored and Stroud had two hits.

Nickson added a home run, three hits and one run. Larkin and Azrael Larkin each scored one run.

Austin Rushing added one hit.

The Lady Bulldogs lost 21-6 at the hands of Providence Monday night on the road.

Tierra Hall and Aliyah Holland each had one hit and Hall, Holland, Laquandra Parker, Kaitlyn Allen, Candace Powell and Anjuana Fuller each scored one run.
