Mr. Clyde Johnston age 95 of Brundidge died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at his home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 at 2 p.m. from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Reverend Jerry Wilkes and Reverend Rex Godwin officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.
There will be a one hour lie-in-state at the church prior to the service. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Juliette and Bennie Herring of Brundidge, son and daughter-in-law Frank and Christine Johnston of Brundidge, grandchildren Jeff and Tammy (Underwood) Johnston, Voncila (Johnston) and Jody Floyd, Cyndi (Johnston) and Scotty Barefoot, Jodi (Herring) and Toby Reeder, Jeremy Herring, Joshua and Amy (Childress) Herring, Shannon Jernigan, Clay and Melissa Jernigan, dauther-in-law and her husband Thersa and Bob Jernigan, and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Julia Mae Johnston, a son Tim Johnston, three brothers and a sister.
Active pallbearers will be Toby Reeder, Joshua Herring, Scotty Barefoot, Stetson Barefoot, Quincy Barefoot, Jeremy Herring, and Jody Floyd.
