CHHS soccer loses on road Wednesday

The Charles Henderson Trojans soccer team lost its game Wednesday night to Houston Academy, 3-1.

Andrew Bentley scored the Trojans’ only goal.

The Trojans trailed 1-0 at the half, but Bentley tied the score in the second half. HA went up 2-1 and CHHS scored again to tie it at 2-2, but the Trojans were called for offsides and the goal was recalled.

Houston Academy scored directly after the penalty for the final of 3-1.

Harlem Globetrotters coming to Troy

The Harlem Globetrotters are coming to Troy. They will be at Trojan Arena on the campus of Troy University Mar. 9 beginning at 7 p.m.

Sportsplex batting cage now open

The batting cages at the Troy Sportsplex opened last weekend. The cages will be open on the weekends. Hours will be:

Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

TPRD adult sports registration

The Troy Parks and Recreation Department is registering for a women’s basketball league.

The league is for women age 16 and older and the entry fiee is $250 per team.

The league begins play March 6.
