Funeral services for Willie (Will) Foster will be held on
Saturday, Feb.7, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, Troy, Alabama, with Rev. J. C. Folks officiating and George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 6, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.
Burial will follow the funeral service at the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Brundidge.
Mr. Willie (Will) Foster was born on Jan. 16, 1942 in Pike County to the late Mr. Mack Foster and the late Essie B. Foster.
During his life span on earth, he accepted Christ and joined the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.
His education was limited, but he never allowed this to stop him.
He went on to hold several jobs which include: Helms Sawmill, McClendon &Hughes Pools, the Coca-Cola plant and his own concrete business, where he worked until his illness.
On Feb. 1, 2009, God called him home after a long courageous battle he fought for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Essie B. Foster, four brothers and five sisters.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: five daughters and two sons, Lola (Stanley) Flowers, Eloise (Anthony) Jones, both of Brundidge, Dorothy Spikner, Sara (Kenneth)
Wilson, Belisa (Thomas) Arnold, all of Troy, William Jr. (Beth-deceased) Foster, and William Tyrone (Teressa) Foster, both of Brundidge, ; one sister, Eunice (Rev. J. C.) Folks of Troy; four brothers, R. T. (Mary) Foster, Gilbert (Carrie) Foster, Sterling (Annie C.) Foster and David Foster, all of Brundidge; one sister-in-law, Vallie Mae Foster, Brundidge; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
