Larry S. Dykes, 55, a resident of Tanyard Community, died on Monday, January 26, 2008. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 10:00am from Ramah Cemetery with Greg McGilvray officiating.
Mr. Dykes retired from the United States Postal Service in 2004.
He started as a mail carrier in Union Springs and went on to work in Hatchechubbee, Grady, and Louisville, where he served as postmaster for six years until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George B. and Leontene Dykes and brothers Bill Dykes and Paul Dykes.
He is survived by his wife Martha Dykes and daughter Bailee Dykes.
Pallbearers will be Randy Dykes, Henry Haisten, Cope Lawrence, Craig Phillips, Curtis Renfroe, Terrell Padgett.

The family will receive friends at Gray Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2009.
