Tyrone Gambles

Funeral services for Tyrone Gambles will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Goshen, Ala., with Rev. Samuel Green officiating and George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.
Burial will follow the funeral service at the Bethel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Goshen, Ala.
Tyrone Gambles was born the second child of the late Mervin Gambles and Willie Pearl Brundidge Gambles of Troy, Ala. on July 29, 1970 in Detroit.
He received Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. W. C. Calloway at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Goshen, Ala.
He graduated from Charles Henderson High School in 1989 and played football for four years.
He earned a BA Degree in Communications and English from Auburn University in Montgomery, Ala.
He was called into Ministry in March of 2008.
He was also a Kappa Alpha Psi.
He departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009 at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. at 2 a.m.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mervin Gambles, two grandfathers, Mr. Hubert Brundidge and Mr. Robert Gambles, and two grandmothers, Mrs. Ruby M. Jackson Brundidge and Mrs. Malissa Lucas Gambles.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother,Willie Pearl Brundidge of Troy, Ala.; one dedicated sister, Rev. Teresa L. Cherry of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; one devoted brother-in-law, Martin E. Cherry of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; seven aunts; three uncles; one special friend, Darrell Bell; his spiritual father in the ministry, Rev. Samuel Green; and a host of cousins, other relatives and other friends.
