The Troy Trojans may be 1-3 against their next opponent in their previous four games against the FAU Owls, but each of those four games have been decided by six points or less.

“We will be playing a team tomorrow that we have had some nip and tuck battles with in the past two or three years,” Troy head coach Don Maestri said. “It will be an up-tempo style of basketball out there.”

Maestri and the Trojans (4-6, 0-1 Sun Belt) host the Owls in their conference home opener tonight at 7 p.m. in Trojan Arena.

“We will need to play an aggressive style of defense because they have three of their starters back from last year and they are going to come at us hard,” Maestri said. “They are a very athletic team.”

Maestri said his team is ready to move forward in the season.

“We are looking forward to playing better basketball and playing in front of our home crowd,” he said. “We are so glad to be back home.”

General admission for Pike County residents will be free for the FAU game, Maestri said. Tip off is at 7 p.m.
