Fannie Dubose

Funeral services for Fannie Dubose will be held on
Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at New Mt.
Pleasant Baptist Church, Troy, Alabama, with Pastor
Jimmy Lee officiating and George F. Grubbs Funeral
Home directing. Visitation will be Monday, December
15, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at George F. Grubbs
Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral service at
the Churchyard Cemetery, Troy, Alabama.
Mrs. Fannie Dubose was born the first child of the
late Jewell Pennington and the late Gussie (Scott) Smith
on April 8, 1919 in Pike County, Alabama.
She received Christ under the leadership of New
Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
She met and married the late Lee Roscoe Dubose
on January 1941 and to this union eight children were
born.
She attended Pike County schools. She wa s
preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roscoe Dubose,
and two sons, Terry L. Dubose and Tommy Dubose.
She leaves to cherish her memories: five sons, John
Lee (Dorthy) Dubose, Montgomery, AL, Robert Lee, J. W.,
Milton “B.J.” (Lois), and Roy Dubose, all of Troy, AL; two
brothers, John Henry (Diann) Scott and Willie Lee “Toy”
Scott, both of Troy, Alabama; one sister-in-law, Rosia Lee
Scott; seventeen grandchildren; eighteen greatgrandchildren;
a devoted friend, Sweetie Mae Baker; the
Tolbert Family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
other relatives and friends.
