Dr. Robert Gregory “Dr. Bob” McGovern, Age 86, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at his home. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 1, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Goshen Baptist Church with Reverend David Zorn officiating. Survivors include, Wife, Faye McGovern of Goshen, 2 Daughters, Karen and Steven Schneaubam of Washington, Susan McGovern of Troy, Idaho, 2 Granddaughters, Meagan Schneaubam of Washington, Rachel Schneaubam of Washington, Sister Jane Bott of Long Island, New York, Brother, Jerry McGovern of New York, Stepson, Bubba Barron of Goshen, Step-Grandson , Wesley Barron of Goshen. Dr. McGovern was preceded in death by his Son, Steven McGovern; Brother, Buddy McGovern and Sister, Eileen McGovern. Dr. Bob had a distinguished medical career for more than 60 years covering 10 states and 2 countries.
