Funeral services for Louise G. Thompson, 87, of Banks, who died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at Troy Health and Rehab, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at Monticello Baptist Church in Banks with the Rev. Louie Oaks officiating. Burial will be in the Banks Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mrs. Thompson was born Nov. 5, 1921, in El Dorado, Ark., the daughter of Percy Powell Hollis and Lucy Matilda Lawrence Hollis. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jule Thompson; her parents; a daughter, Dorothy Sellers; two sisters, Estelle Foster and Mae Hollis; and a brother, Garland Hollis.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Thompson of Banks, Donald Thompson of Prattville and Ronald Thompson of Troy; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Faye Foster and Edna Cootes, both of Monroe, La., and Daisy Cooper of San Antonio, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Larry Andrews, Roy Robert, Ted Foster, Michael Thompson, Gary Best and Doug Price.
The family requests memorials be made to Monticello Baptist Church.
