Troy’s 18U recreation soccer team will play in the state tournament tomorrow in Dothan. The team won the state title in the 15U ranks, and now they’re looking to add another trophy to their legacy.

“They’ve been together about eight or nine years,” coach Doug McLendon said. “They’ve played a lot together. They play possessive and with speed and we added some good players this year.”

The team hopes their chemistry and experience with each other will carry them far into the tournament.

They will face Prattville and Dothan in the tournament and they are looking forward to the tough competition.

“Everybody is always hustling out here,” goalie Clayton Morgan said. “They did a great job last year.”
