Funeral services for Ruby M. Tolbert will be held on Friday, November 7, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Lily White Holiness Church, Troy, Alabama, with Pastor Martha Griffin officiating and George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday, November 6, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Fox &Frances White Memorial Cemetery, Troy, Alabama. Ruby M. Tolbert was born the second child of the late Booker T. Maddox and the late Mary Pickett on October 11, 1938.
She received Christ under the leadership of Bishop Wheeler at Lily White Holiness Church. She met and married the late Joe F. Tolbert. She leaves to cherish her memories: sons and daughters, Willie Ed Jones, Carolyn Daniel, Earnestine Bennett and Albert Jones; stepchildren, Bobbie Ann Tolbert, Alma Jean Tolbert, Arreather Tolbert, Arneather Tolbert and Doris Tolbert; grandchildren, Jonthan Tolbert, Willie Tolbert, Deddrick Tolbert, Kisha Jones, Kandall Tolbert , Kendrick Toney, Dianne Bennett, Leon Bennett, Dorothy Bennett, Siran Bennett, Elijah Daniel, Joshua Daniel, Marcus Jones, Alorenza Jones and Tyrell Jones; seven great — grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Delois Walker, Willie Maddox, Elizabeth Maddox, Jesse Maddox, L. C. Maddox, Booker T. Maddox, Alice Maddox, Julia Maddox, Charles Corbitt, Benny Corbitt, Robert Lee Corbitt, Hazel Corbitt, Mary Corbitt and Virginia Carter; sisters-in-law, Eula Thomas and Ninnie Tolbert; sons-in-law, Herman Daniel and Leon Bennett; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
