Mr. McArthur Henderson, 64, of Troy died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Troy Regional Medical Center in Troy. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Sharon Kirkland officiating. He will lie in state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the chapel. He will be buried at Center Ridge Methodist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends from noon Sunday, November 2 until 11 a.m. Monday, November 3, at his residence at Apt. 104B in Segers Court in Troy.
Mr. Henderson was born November 12, 1943 in Pike County. He was a retired mechanic in the automotive industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy C. and Tellis Layton Henderson; one brother and several sisters.
Survivors include, four sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary Henderson of Phenix City; Jimmy and Tisha Henderson of Dothan; Terry Henderson of Phenix City and Keith Tidwell of Dothan; three daughters and one son-in-law, Tammy Green of Troy; Melanie and Bobby Tillery of Troy and Shelie Whittington of Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Magalene and Ronny Hall of Jack; brother, Maxwell Henderson of Dothan; 18 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews, Doug Eldridge, Daniel Eldridge, Kyle Eldridge, Andrew Sims, George Milette and Donald McWaters
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Penn and Drake Barron.
