Funeral Services for Mr. Edward Lester Henderson will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church in Enon with Rev. Calvin Faircloth and Rev. Jimmy Helms officiating. Burial will follow in the Banks Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 29 from 6-8 PM at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Mr. Henderson, 77, of Banks, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at his residence. He was retired from Troy Auto Parts. He was preceded in death by his parents: John Lester and Elizabeth M. Sheppard Henderson; and one son: Larry Edward Henderson.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Lee Henderson; two sons: Mayor Dewayne (Lisa) Henderson and Danny Lee (Hope) Henderson; two brothers: Eldridge Henderson and Bobby Joe Henderson; all of Banks; 6 grandchildren: Scott (Stacey) Henderson, Jeremy Henderson, Jenna Henderson, Lee Henderson, Jared Henderson, and Jessica Henderson; and 3 great grandchildren: Patrick Henderson, Alex Henderson, and Reed Henderson.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Scott, Jeremy, and Jared Henderson, and nephews: Terry, Jerry, and Ricky Henderson.
