PCHS dropped by Zion

The score of the game was not a true judge of how the Pike County Lady Bulldogs played Tuesday night against the Zion Chapel Lady Rebels in a 3-0 (5-25, 23-25, 10-25) loss.

“The score was not indicative of how we played,” PCHS head coach Kasey Parker said. “We played well. They were digging balls out and we had some good serves. We just couldn’t take them down.”

But Parker said the Lady Rebels are no slouch on the court.

“They are a good team, but I was pleased with how our girls played out there,” Parker said.

The Lady Bulldogs scheduled match with Haynesville Thursday has been cancelled because Haynesville is not able to field a volleyball team.

Pike County is off until Monday, when they square off with Luverne High School on the road.

The JV match begins at 4:30 p.m.
