Edith Mildred Hammond, age 97, a resident of Troy died Saturday, September 13, 2008. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 15, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with the Reverend Luke Lane officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 14, 2008 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy. Survivors include, Son Gary Hammond and wife Susan of Michigan; Grandchildren Timothy Hammond and wife Eileen, Margaret Vine and husband Gordon; Great-Grandchildren, Timothy Hammond, Mathew Hammond, Stephanie Hammond, Melissa Beem, Bill Tribley and Emily Tribley; Great-Great-Grandchildren, Abi Beem and Kenzie Beem; Brother, Bill Edgley and wife Leona. Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hammond and 3 brothers, Rex, Glen and Don Edgley. Mrs. Hammond was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and Eastern Star.
