Mildred Hixon Renfroe, Age 87, formerly of Banks died Sunday, September 7, 2008 in Troy. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Jimmie Spikes officiating. Burial will follow in the Ramah Cemetery in Josie. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. Visitation will be held Monday, September 8, 2008 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy. Survivors include, Daughter, Ann R. Barbaree of Troy, 2 Sons and Daughters-in-law, Don and Susan Renfroe of Brundidge, Jimmy and Marian Renfroe of Troy, She was “Grandma” to her grandchildren, Shasta (Daniel) Dawson, Shannon (John) Hudson, Sanet (Todd) Tyler, Al (Laura)Renfroe, Chris Barbaree, Donna (Chad) Copeland, Fran Renfroe, Great Grandchildren, Marley, Taylor, and Dannah Kate Dawson, Brooke and Ragan Hudson, Mattie Morgan , Dylon, Landon and Myles Tyler, Scott Taylor, Cade, Addie and Caroline Renfroe, Max , Marx, Kaylee and Rylee Copeland, Brother and Sister-in-law, Bill and Betty Hixon of Banks, Sister, Annette Salter of Albany ,Georgia, Sisters-in-law, Evelyn Renfroe of Banks and Myrtle Renfroe of Troy, Several Nieces and Nephews. Mrs. Renfroe was preceded in death by Husband , Max B. Renfroe, Brother, Edwards Hixon, Parents John Delma and Annie Brabham Hixon. Mrs Renfroe was a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church fro 80 years. She taught School for 30 years, 27 at Banks where she also coached Boys basketball an baseball. Serving as Pallbearers will be Al Renfroe, Chris Barbaree, Daniel Dawson, Todd Tyler, Chad Copeland, John Hudson and Billy Hixon. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of ADK. The Family would like to thank the staff and owners of Noble Manor, Lighthouse Hospice and Jewel McLure Sitting Service for their kindness during this time. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
