Mr. Roscoe Sexton, age 71, was born September 10, 1936 and died on September 2, 2008 at his residence in Glenwood, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, September 4, 2008 from the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Weeks and Rev. Dan Marler officiating.

Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne, AL directing.

Mr. Sexton was a longtime resident of Glenwood, AL.

He was an outgoing person who loved people and helping people.

He retired from Troy University, was president of The Glenwood Community Center and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was a loving husband, father, and brother and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitte and Lee Grayson Sexton.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Sexton; 2 children, Raymond (Lydia) Sexton of Troy, AL and Ramona (Larry) Monk of Clayton, AL; 5 grandchildren, Scott, Caitlin, and Skylar Sexton and Lauren and Stephanie Monk; 3 sisters, Geraldine (Ray) Armstrong of Troy, Grace (Malcolm) Daniels of Glenwood, and Judy Sexton of Troy; uncle, Horace (Lynda) Grayson of Glenwood; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Malcolm Daniels and Edna Boutwell; and a special person, Matt Donaldson.
