Virginia Andes Leverette, 93, a resident of Montgomery died July 3, 2008.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Leak-Memory Chapel with Reverend Doyle Roberson officiating.

Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge.

Mrs. Leverette was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church for over 50 years, a member of the Montgomery Retired Teachers Association, former president of the Alabama Educational Librarians Association and member of Delta Kappa Gamma.

She was also listed in the Who’s Who of the Alabama Businesswoman’s Association.

She is preceded in death by her husband Eldridge L. Leverette and her son Andy Leverette.

Survivors include daughter Brownie Carver and husband Skip; grandchildren Russell Carver and Tracey Snyder and husband Vince; great grandchildren Jacob, Jared and Jackson Snyder; sister-in-law Helen Leverette Stewart; nieces Laura Leverette Spivey and Nancy Barmby; nephew Matt Leverette and many cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank Susan Durden and the staff at Angels for the Elderly, and also Deb Erickson and her staff at Sylvia Chappell; Shenetta Hicks, Karen Uhve and Mattie Crenshaw for the loving care they provided.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clverdale Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday at Leak-Memory from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
