James Russell Jordan, 45, of Troy, died at his home Friday, May 2, 2008. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be held at Springhill Baptist Church on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Keith Reynolds and Reverend Averyt Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family request that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. The pallbearers will be Ronnie Rainey, Andy Sheffield, Randy Beason, Tommy Grissett, William Earl Grissett and Rick Oertel. The honorary pallbearers will be employees of Southeast Alabama Gas Company. Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Doris Jordan of Troy, son, Ethan Jordan of Troy, father, Paul Jordan of Enon, sisters, Alice Faye (Chuck) Drivas of Troy, Lori (Rick) Oertel of Troy, Chris (Nickie) Buce of Tallassee and Elizabeth (Jim) Snyder of Luverne, brothers, Norman Jordan of Enon, Don (Darlene) Jordan of Enon and Randall (Ann) Jordan of Enon, sisters-in-law, Connie (Scott) Morrow of Troy, Tammi Taylor of Moundville, brother-in-law, Mac (Rhonda) Rushing of Moulton, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his mother, Lela Jordan.
