Ronald Burnell Ressler, 75, formerly of Troy, Alabama went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 2, 2007. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Andy Blackman officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery, in Hopewell. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Henderson United Methodist Church, 512 County Road 2238, Troy, Alabama 36079. The pallbearers are Michael Geddie, Paul Sadler, Jimmy Kirk, Randy Geddie, Paul Griffin, and Courtland &uot;Scooter&uot; Stark. The honorary pallbearers are Physicians and Staff of Montgomery Cardiovascular Associates. He was born and raised in Reamstown, Pennsylvania.

He retired from the Airforce in 1974, he and his wife then moved to Alabama in 1975 were he remained until his death. Mr. Ressler leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 55 years, Sarah Jane Harris Ressler formerly of Troy, 2 daughters, Toni &uot;Skeezix&uot; (Michael) Geddie of Wetumpka, and Mia &uot;Mia Baby&uot; (Paul) Sadler of Montgomery, son, Richard Wayne (Belinda) Ressler of Montgomery, 8 grandchildren, Heather Dawn, Billy, Mary Frances, Brantley, Sarah, Joseph, Anna, and Sam, 4 great grandchildren, Dillan, Savannah, Drew, and Troy, 1 brother, Terry Ressler, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Minerva Ressler, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Jane, 2 sisters, Betty and Flossie and a brother, Richard.
