Wiley Cowart Sanders, Sr., 99, died at his home Thursday, September 27, 2007.

Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Friday, September 28, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 7:30.

The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Perry Green officiating.

Burial will follow at Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Mr. Sanders is survived by his wife, Mrs. Georgia A. Sanders of Troy; son and daughter-in-law, Wiley and Toni Sanders of Troy; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Virginia Sanders of Troy and Becky and Charles Young of Guntersville; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

The pallbearers will be Brian Saunders, James Sanders, Scott Maddox, Dr. Chuck Young, Jeffery Henderson, Stephen Sanders, Dr. John Young, David Dewberry and Jim Debray.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Baraca Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church in Troy.

Mr. Sanders was a life long resident of Pike County. He was a cofounder and one of the current owners of Sanders Lead Company.

In honor of Mr. Sanders' nurses the Family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to The Wiley Cowart Sanders, Sr. Nursing Scholarship Fund, 256 Adams Administration Building, Troy University, Troy, Alabama 36082.
