Thomas Earl Helms

Thomas Earl Helms, 76, of Brundidge, died Monday, July 16, 2007, at Troy Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church.

The funeral service will be held at Brundidge United Methodist Church on Thursday, July 19, 2007, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Lawler officiating.

Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Brundidge Lions Club and the Agape Class at Brundidge United Methodist Church.

Mr. Helms was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Louie and Mrs. Connie Pearl Helms; and a brother, Louie Thomas Helms.

He is survived by his brothers, William Ray (Nellie Sue) Helms of Brundidge and John Wayne (Claire) Helms of Rome, Ga.; sister,

Mary (Charles) Adams of Troy; brother, Billy Paul (Sally) Helms of Tuscaloosa; nieces and nephews, Susan (Jimmie) Harper, Jon (Michelle) Adams, Alan (Renee) Helms, Catherine (James) Casey, David Adams, Glen (Kelly) Helms, Dana Adams (David) Thrash, Sara (Scott) Robicheaux, John (Rachel) Helms, Sam (Michelle) Adams and Mary Beth Helms; several great-nieces and nephews; and his caregiver, Ethel Mary Mincey.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Brundidge United Methodist Church Piano Fund.
