C.F. Roling

Funeral services for C.F. Roling of Troy, who died at his home Friday, May 11, 2007, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with Dr. Ellis Bush and Dr. Ed Walter officiating.

Interment will follow in Orion Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Roling was born Aug. 24, 1928, in Pike County. He served in the Korean Conflict and graduated from Troy University with a degree in business. Mr. Roling and his father were active farmers, cattlemen and businessmen in the Orion community. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Troy.

Preceding him in death were his parents, C.F. Roling Sr. and Florence Chancey Roling.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Miller Roling; one son, Keith Roling of Orion; one daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Bill Holland of Valdosta, Ga.; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Haley Jane Holland; one grandson, William Holland of Valdosta; one sister, Margaret Roling Griffin of Selma; several nieces and nephews; long time friends Joyce and Raymon Austin, John Canada, Sara Lee and Donal Dunbar, Nell and Helton Fowler, Edna and Ervin Pinckard, Allene and Jerry Snider and Jane and Alex Whaley.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Bentley, Steve Flowers, Scott Flowers, Wayne Grant, David Griffin and Art Scroggins.

Honorary pallbearers are Carvell Anderson, Homer Anderson, Raymon Austin, Joe Bush, Clemont Carpenter, Haley Grant, John Harvell, Randolph Johnston, Veryl Lassiter, Dr. John Long, Charles Meeks, Densby Lowery, Chase Riddle, Ira Thompson, Jerry Snider, Peter Young and members of the Baracca Class of First Baptist Church.

Special thanks go to Dr. Alan Young and staff; Wiregrass Hospice and sitters, Helen T. Mosley, Fannie Green Croswell, and Katie Green Potts; and Linda Floyd and the Trust Department at Troy Bank & Trust.

Lorna Johnson Rhodes

Funeral services for Lorna Johnson Rhodes, 72, a resident of Troy, who died Friday, May 11, 2007, at her home, will be at noon Monday at the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Brundidge with the Rev. Don Grantham and the Rev. Wayne Williams

officiating.

Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, M.C. Rhodes of Troy;

four children, Kenny Rhodes of Brundidge, Marty and Maxine Rhodes of Brundidge, Leisa Frankum of Troy and Jeff and Michelle Rhodes of Banks; four sisters, Darlene Spencer of Nampa, Idaho, June Michael of Bremerton, Wash., Shirley Martin of Lancaster, Calif., Goldie Keith of Rushfield, Ind.;

12 Grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; special friend, Gloria Bryant; and numerous other relatives.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Wiregrass Hospice of Troy.
