Dorothy Jean Tate

Graveside services for Dorothy Jean Tate, 78, of Montgomery, who died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at Capital Hill Health Care in Montgomery, will be at 2 p.m. today at Carrs Chapel Cemetery in Troy with

Burial will be under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

There will be no visitation.

Miss Tate was born Feb. 22, 1928, in Pike County. She was a retired secretary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elgin Green Tate and Beulah S. Harrell Tate.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Judy B. Green of Nashville, Ga., Bonnie Terry, Ricky Tate and Tim Tate, all of Phenix City, Jimmy Tate and Jack Boswell, both of Ebenezer, and Frederick W. Kreps II of Montgomery.

Donnie William Brown

Graveside services for Donnie William Brown, 51 of Troy, who died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mack King and the Rev. Kenny Horn officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ross Brown.

Mr. Brown is survived by his mother, Virginia Brown of Troy; three sisters, Vanessa (Bobby) Davis of Troy, Phyllis (Wendell) Givens of Midland City and Terry Brown of Ozark; brother, Danny (Patsy) Brown of Troy; nephews, Daniel Brown of Mobile, Lee (Crystal) Davis of Troy, Jeffrey (Tara) Scarbrough of Dothan and Wes Davis of Troy; great nieces, Shylbe and Cierra Davis of Troy; great nephews, Will and Brett Scarbrough of Dothan; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Julia Bess Walters Durden

Funeral services for Julia Bess Walters Durden, 78, of Montgomery County, who died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, in Montgomery, will be at 2 p.m. today at Dublin Church of Christ with Ennis Price officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. today at the church.

She is survived by her children, Pauline and Jimmy Price of Pine Level, Sharron and Clyde Milam of Grady and Randy and Ginger Durden of Grady; a sister, Mary Ann Knighten; two brothers, Fred and Joe Walters; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Estelle Walters; her husband, Lewis Orin &uot;Doodle&uot; Durden; children. Roger Durden, Teresa Durden, Henry Durden, John Marx Durden and Van Clifford Durden; sisters and brothers, Sabel Spivey, Pauline Walters, Ruth Rhodes and Earl and Pete Walters.

Pallbearers will be Ennis Price, Charlie Price, James Price, Johnny Johnson, Charles Mansman and Charlie O'Connell.

Mary Louise &uot;Belle&uot; Owens

Funeral services for Mary Louise &uot;Belle&uot; Owens, 50, of Luverne, who died at Crenshaw Community Hospital in Luverne, Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, will be at 11 a.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge with the Rev. Kenneth Baggett and the Rev. Chuck Blair officiating.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. today at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery in Andalusia.

Visitation was Monday at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Edward Owens Sr.

She is survived by her parents, Wayne and Louise Sullivan of Brundidge; sister, Diane (Frank) Green of Brundidge; brother, John E. (Corrie) Owens Jr. of Andalusia; four nieces, Cathleen Erwin, Allison Stanley, Lizzie Green and Amanda Green.

The family requests that memorials be made to Springfield Baptist Church.

Larry Ray Peacock

Funeral services for Larry Ray Peacock, 57, of Troy who died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at his home, will be at 10 a.m. today at Dillard Funeral home with the Rev.

Jerry Wright officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ramah Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation was Monday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Peacock of Troy; his daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Danny McClure of Troy; his sons and daughters-in-law, Rusty and Stephanie Peacock of Troy, Chuck and Allison Peacock of Rocky Head, and Roger and Lisa Peacock of Montgomery; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Margaret Peacock of Troy and Mike and Melissa Peacock of Valley; seven grandchildren, Laken Peacock, Bailey Peacock, Elizabeth McClure, Lacey Peacock, Daniel Wilson, Dillon Peacock and Hunter Gulledge; and special friends, Tommy and Eugene Vinson.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Peacock, Chuck Peacock, Roger Peacock, Danny McClure, Dillon Peacock, Tommy Vinson, Eugene Vinson, Daniel Wilson and Hunter Gulledge.

Honorary pallbearers will be Amos Fortune and Jeff Adams.
