Starting at 11 a.m., the Trojans will take the field against the Michigan Wolverines, the 43rd ranked team in the country according to the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll. Troy is ranked 47th.

Following the Trojans morning game, they will play the second half of their double-header against the 41st ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs.

&#8220This weekend is really big,” Troy head coach Bobby Pierce said.

&#8220It's four quality games. I'm not going into this thing saying we've got to win all of them, but we have to play well and get better as a team. A split or better is what we have to do. Anything less than that it will be disappointing.”

According to Piece, the team plans to start senior Joe Hallahan in Friday's morning game against the Wolverines and senior Clegg Snipes in the afternoon game against the Bulldogs.

The role for Saturday's starting pitcher is still undetermined, but Pierce plans to throw junior Jeff Green out on Sunday against Mississippi State.

&#8220I think Jeff has definitely earned a chance to pitch this weekend after his last start,” Pierce said.

In his last start, Green threw five solid innings in a winning effort against previously unbeaten Southern Miss.

The start was also the first of Green's Trojan career.

Troy will continue its long weekend on Saturday against Michigan at 11 a.m. and then Sunday at 3 p.m. against Mississippi State.

Fans will be able to listen into the game on the Trojans Radio Network, or by checking in to www.TroyTrojans.com for live statistics.

The Trojans will return to play at home next week when they play host to the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders. The first game of that series is schedule for 6 p.m. on March, 9.
