Funeral arrangements for Lester Beard will be announced later by George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

Betty Jean Coleman

Services for Betty Jean Coleman will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at Benevolent Grove Baptist Church in Needmore with the Rev. W. F. Goynes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Churchyard Cemetery under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

Mrs. Coleman was born on Dec. 14, 1970, in to Bessie Smiley and her late father, Frank Smiley.

She leaves behind her husband, Robert Coleman, and her daughter, Beverly Coleman, both of Troy; three sisters, Donna (Tyrone) Hillard, Barbara Smiley and Lisa Smiley, all of Troy; three brothers, Frank Smiley, Jessie Smiley and Freddie Smiley, all of Troy; one special cousin, Sylvia White; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, one great niece, other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Willie McClain and friends.

Flowerbearers will be family and friends.

Funeral Arrangements for Alberta Calhoun will be announced later by George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

Rev. Joe N. Foster

Services for the Rev. Joe N. Foster will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny McCray officiating.

Burial will follow in the Churchyard Cemetery under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

Willie J. Davis

Services for Willie J. Davis will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Goshen Baptist Church in Goshen with the Rev. Jonas Rogers officiating.

Burial will be at Friendship Baptist Churchyard Cemetery under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis was born on Sept. 1, 1965, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., to Ivery Jewel Davis and Osie Lee Davis.

He is survived by one daughter, Marcia Dixon of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; five loving sisters, Phyllis, Brenda (Dennis), May, Linda and Michelle; six brothers, Allen (Dot), Collie (Violet), James, Bernard, Jason and Osie Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers and flowerbearers are friends of the family.

Tammy Selina &#8220Mimi” Cordell

Funeral services for Tammy Selina &#8220Mimi” Cordell of Clio who died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. today at Anderson Baptist Church in Blue Springs with the Rev. Earl Oats officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Clio directing.

A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Tim Sellers and Pam Bailey will provide special music.

The family received friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George and Elsie (Jim) Sellers, and her maternal grandparents, Emory and Mary Lizzie Kilpatrick.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Cordell of Blue Springs; sons, Cole Cordell and Ryan Cordell both of Blue Springs; daughters, Haley Cordell and Alyssia Cordell, both of Blue Springs; father, Curtis Sellers of Blue Springs; mother, Hazel Kilpatrick Sellers of Blue Springs; brothers and sister-in-law, Stan and Darlene Kilpatrick and Jim Sellers of Troy; sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and Donnie Albritton of Blue Springs; mother and father-in-law, Jr. and Frances Cordell of Texasville; two brothers-in-law, Norman Cordell and Kenny Cordell, both of Texasville; nieces and nephews, Emily, Cody and Drew Albritton, Savannah Kilpatrick and Alyssia Sellers; and several aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers include Norman Cordell, Kenny Cordell, Tim Sellers, Danny Gibson, Melvin Smith and Ronnie Bush.
