Janet Sue Aured Gulley

A memorial service for Janet Sue Aured Gulley, who died at her home Dec. 24, 2006, will be at 3 p.m. today at Eastwood Presbyterian Church.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m.

Thursday, Dec. 8, at Green Hills Cemetery in Troy with the Rev. Aaron Felming officiating.

Mrs. Gulley died after an extended battle with cancer. She was a graduate of Berry High School in Birmingham and Auburn University. She treated her patients with enthusiasm and expertise as a speech pathologist at Montgomery Rehabilitation Hospital before starting her career as a homemaker and mother. She was loved greatly by all who knew her well, whether as a friend or fellow patient.

Mrs. Gulley is survived by her husband, Scott Gulley; four children, Hope, Karel , Joy and Allan Gulley; her parents, Joan and Lee Aured of Columbiana; sister-in-law, Melissa Heltz of Montgomery; brother, Doug ( Mary Jane ) Aured of Tuscaloosa ; brother-in-law, Mark (Leah) Gulley of Charlotte, N.C.; Uncle and Aunt, Fred and Sandy Aured of Columbus, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Eastwood Christian School or The American Cancer Society, c/o Barbara Harrington, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, Al. 36111.

Betty Sanders Holland

Mrs. Betty Sanders Holland, 82, of Troy died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2004, at the Troy Health and Rehab Center.

Graveside Services will be at noon today at the Hopewell cemetery with the Rev. Marvin Jackson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

She is survived by a brother and sister-In-law, Jerry and Mary Lou Sanders of Houston, Texas; a sister-In-law, Juanita Sanders of Troy; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband James B. Holland, her parents Monroe and Jewel Sanders; a sister, Louise Williford; and a brother, Hall Sanders.

Memorials may be made to the Children's Cancer Center at UAB or to the Hopewell Cemetery Fund.

Jennie Smith Hussey

Jennie Smith Hussey, 87, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2006, in Montgomery. She was a lifelong resident of Coffee County in the Victoria and Jack Communities.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Victoria Baptist Church, near Elba, where she was a faithful member for 75 years.

Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Fellowship hall at the church.

Officiating at the funeral and burial service will be the Revs. Donnie Marler of Elba, and Rev. John Johnson of Banks.

Mrs. Hussey was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jefferson Hussey, granddaughter, Rhonda Hussey Little, and parents, Joel and Ada Smith.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, friend, and neighbor.

She was loved by all who knew her and touched many lives with her sweet, quiet smile and gentle voice.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Hussey Gibson (Donald) of Montgomery; a son, Donald Robert Hussey (Sue); a granddaughter, Angela Gibson Jones (Kenneth) of Columbiana, Alabama; three grandsons, Donald Wade (Donnie) Hussey (Tammy), Stacy Stefan Hussey (Teresa), Eric Jefferson (Jeff) Hussey (Donna) of Elba; and a grand son-in-law, Jimmy Dwaine Little of Glenwood. Great-grand children are Tucker Holley, Elijah Paul Jones, Hobi Wade Hussey, Sidney Cheyanne Hussey, Layken Cole Hussey, Andrew Stewart Little, Steven Matthew Little, Erika Brooke Hussey, Stown Dalton Hussey, Karry Lynn Hussey, and Kacy Lee Hussey.

She is survived by two sisters Lovia Brooks and Vera Hutto of Elba and a special niece, Millie Hussey Fennell (Abe) of Pensacola, Fla., as well as several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Hussey, Jeff Hussey, Stacy Hussey, Jim Little, Hobie Little and Kenneth Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be the Victoria Baptist Church Women's Sunday School Class, Rodney Ammons, Lloyd Jordan, Charles Bowdin, Vincent Ziglar, Bill Peters, Joe Danley of Victoria, Carl Jackson, Billy Jackson and Samuel Boswell of Enterprise, Douglas Smith of New Brockton, Lamar Brooks, Gerald Boswell, and Jimmy Holley of Elba, and Charles Densby Lowery of Jack.

Memorials can be made to Victoria Community Cemetery Fund, on which Mrs. Hussey served as a Committee Member for many years, 11750 Hwy 125, Elba, Ala., 36323.

Jim Bryan

Jim Bryan, age 40, of Troy died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006 in Troy. Funeral Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, at Springhill Baptist Church with the Revs. Neal Jackson, Kenny Horn and Kevin Kelly officiating.

Burial was in the Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Jan Bryan of Goshen; a son, Chase Bryan of Goshen; a daughter, Mandi Bryan of Goshen; his parents,

James &#8220Butch” and Gloria Bryan of Troy; a brother, Jeff( Dorena) Bryan of Jack; a sister, Lacey (Chet) Bailey of Live Oak , Fla.; nephews, Michael Sanders, Bryce Bailey and Bryan Bailey; and a brother-in-law, Phillip Sanders of Goshen

Serving as pallbearers were Steve Barron, Jeff Bryan, Chet Bailey, Phillip Sanders, Mike Davis, Dave Fiveash, Nick Brady and William Outlaw. Honarary pallbearers were the City of Troy Treatment Plant Employees.

Gary Baker

Gary Baker, age 53 a resident of Millbrook and long time resident of Troy, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at his home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Visitationwas from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery on County Road 72 in Ariton.

He is survived by his children, Dana Tedder of Montgomery, Chris (Jeannie) Baker of Andalusia and Andy Baker of Jack; a son-in-law, James Cain; grandchildren McKenzie and Brody Cain, Matt and Madison Baker and Allison and Ashley Hayner; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Eddie Paramore of Troy, Sheila and Darrell Hill of Millbrook and Rita and Paul Parry of Cordell, Ga.; a brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Bonnie Baker of Glenwood; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by twodaughters, Shannon Dawn Cain and Angel Marie Hayner and a granddaughter, Baleigh Maree Chapman.

Family and friends will be meeting at the home of Mrs. Gail Paramore, at Sunset Mountain Trailer Park, 53 Dogwood Drive, Troy.
