Sybil I. Catrett

Sybil I. Catrett, 75, of Troy, died at Troy Regional Medical Center, Tuesday, October 24, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Thursday, October 26, 2006 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at Belser Cemetery on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 2:30 PM with Minister Floyd Nobles officiating. She is survived by Husband, James Catrett of Troy, Daughters and son-in-law, Sharon Helms of Hope Hull and Rhonda Lynn (Bodiford) and Ed Truitt of Montgomery, Sons and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Linda Duffell of Monticello and Tony Bodiford of Montgomery, 2 Grandchildren, 6 Great grandchildren, Sister, Mary Taylor of Prattville, Brother, Julius Ingram of Montgomery.

Lucille Butler Newton, a resident of Kinsey, Alabama, died late Monday night, October 23, 2006, in a Troy hospital. She was 93.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Sunday, October 29, 2006, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with her son-in-law, Dr. L. Milton Cutchen and grandsons, Daniel Milton Cutchen and David Newton Cutchen officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:30 P. M. Saturday at the mortuary in Headland.

Mrs. Newton was born in Blountstown, Florida, daughter of the late Thomas Butler and Dovie Deese Butler. She lived in Kinsey all her adult lifetime. Mrs. Newton was a member of the Webb United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Kinsey United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed by the H. L. Palmer Mercantile and also the Fabric Store both in Headland. In earlier years, Mrs. Newton was actively involved in the Houston County Home Demonstration Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel William (Dan) Newton, two sisters, Frankie Hutto and Mildred Newton and three brothers, Earl Butler, Roy Butler and T. W. Butler.

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Dovie Louise Cutchen and husband, Dr. L. Milton Cutchen, Troy, Al.; two grandsons, Daniel Milton Cutchen and wife, Joy Cutchen, Dallas, Tx.; David Newton Cutchen and wife, Judy Cutchen, Birmingham; three great-grandchildren, Stephen Cutchen, Matthew Cutchen and Abigail Lee Cutchen; several nieces and nephews and their spouses including, Minnie Rogers, Liddell Newton, Marjorie Newton and Reverend Wayne Newton.
