Evelyn Taylor Lee

Services for Evelyn Taylor Lee, 86, who died Oct. 28, 2006, at Phenix City Health Care in Phenix City, will be at 1 p.m. today at Salem Baptist Church in Brundidge.

The Revs. Bob Sandifer and Bobby Hood will officiate at the services.

Burial will follow in The Lakeview Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Visitation was Monday, and viewing will be one hour prior to the service today at the church.

Mrs. Lee retired in 1982 from the Department of Defense, Army and Air Force Exchange Service and Fort Rucker. She attended church at Salem Baptist Church in Brundidge, where she served as church hostess

for a number of years and was a member for more than 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, J.B. Lee, and son James T. Lee.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Annette Lee of Clanton; daughter

and son-in-law Jean and Bobby Mathews of Smiths; son and daughter-in-law Ben P. and Jackie Lee of St. Simons Island, Ga.; six grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Lee of Montgomery, Lynn (Rick) Russell of Clanton, Hope (Tom) Caywood of Milford, Ma., Meghan Lee of Washington D.C., Josh Lee of Athens and Jon Lee of Americus, Ga.; five great-grandchildren, Caitlin Smith, Taylor Russell, Lauren Gayles, Kristen Lee and Lee Russell; two sisters, Betty (James) Wilson of Huntsville and Carolyn O. Steen of Troy; five sisters-in-law, Arnez Dismukes (Francis) of Enterprise, Mary Frances Palmer of Camilla, Ga., Carolyn Lee, Mavis Lee and Bonnie Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Ike Lee, Bob Dismukes, Charles Taylor, Brooks Taylor, Bill Lunsford and Rick Russell.

Mrs. Lula Mae &uot;Polly&uot; Duncan

LUVERNE - Services for Lula Mae &uot; Polly&uot; Duncan, 74, of Luverne, who died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Turner Funeral Home chapel.

The Rev. William Leverette will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in Brunson Chapel Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Her husband, Rufus Duncan, precedes Mrs. Duncan in death.

Survivors include three children, Charles (Betty) Duncan, Sheila Lee and Debra (Kenny) Hill; six grandchildren, Todd (Jenny) Duncan, Shay (Jason) Jones, Brent Hill, Brandon Hill, Cherish Lee and Tara Lee; one great-grandchild, Joselyn Jones; and one brother, Ben Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Morgan, Hubert Tomberlin, Guy Bruce, Morris Tate, John Ganey and James Colquett.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today.

James R. Green

A memorial service for James R. Green, 80, of Troy, who died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at Troy Health and Rehab, will be at 1 p.m. today at Dobo's Tabernacle Church in Banks with the Rev. Earl Oakes officiating.

Burial will be in Sandfield Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. today at the church.

Mr. Green was born July 14, 1926, in Pike County. He worked in the pulpwood industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy Noah Green and Mattie Ruth Dunn Green, and a brother, Dewey F. Green.

Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Green of Troy; two brothers, William N. &uot;Bill&uot; Green of Eufaula and Murphy Delora Green of Ebenezer; a sister, Frances Beasley of Troy; and nieces and nephews.
