Helen Rice

Graveside services for Helen Rice of Atlanta, Georgia who died Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Atlanta will be at 1 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2006 at Sandfield Cemetery on Highway 223 in Banks with Rev. J. C. Turner officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 26 at the funeral home.

Miss Rice was born June 30, 1914 in Phenix City. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rice.

Survivors include a great nephew, Daniel Ming of Atlanta; great niece and husband, Linda and Nathan Allen of Banks; close friends, John Glann and Pete Bogero both of Atlanta; great-great-nephew, Benji Allen of Banks; great-great niece and husband, Lashay and Jesse Jewell of Banks; 2 nephews, Frank O'Neal of Columbus, Georgia, Ray O'Neal of Pontiac, Michigan; great-great-great nieces, Madison Jewell,Shaelby Jewell, Breanna Jewell and Katelyn Jewell all of Banks and a great-great-great nephew, Jesse Jewell of Banks.

Dollye Mae Bell Berry, 89, of Brundidge, died at Oakview Manor in Ozark, Alabama, Wednesday, October 25, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge on Thursday, October 26, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Rex Godwin and Reverend Jerry Wilkes officiating. Private family burial will be held later. Mrs. Berry is survived by, Children and their spouses, Alma and Hubert Davis of Phenix City, Alabama, Ann and Dan Cowen of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Dwight and Carolyn Berry of Brundidge, Alabama, and Artelma Werkmeister of Tampa, Florida, 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great grandchildren, 1 Great great grandchild, Special friend, Edgar Blanton of New Brockton, Alabama, Brother, Alcum &#8220Shorty” Bell of Rocky Head, Alabama, Sisters, Merle Goldson of Mexico Beach, Florida and Bertha Poss of Lompac, California, and Numerous nieces and nephews.
