Minnie Ellen Wilson

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Minnie Ellen Wilson was held at Sweet Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, Brundidge, Alabama, on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 @ 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Nathaniel Larkin, Pastor, officiating.

Interment was at Sweet Pilgrim Church Cemetery under the professional & distinguished direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

The late Minnie Ellen Wilson was born to the union of West and Mildred Wheeler on September 16, 1931 in Pike County, Alabama.

She attended the local public schools and at an early age she confessed Christ and joined Sweet Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health failed.

After an extended illness she was called to go to her home that was not made by hands of man.

She departed from this life on Thursday, August 10, 2006, at home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, West and Mildred Wheeler; husband, Rosco Wilson; three sons: Enorris, Leon and Joe Mack Wilson; two sisters, Mae Allen and Annie Murl Wheeler; and two brothers, Edward and Johnny Wheeler.

She leaves wonderful memories to a very special friend,

D. C. &#8220Sonny” Harris; six daughters: Larett Grider of Carteret, N.J.; Laura Jean Lee, Annie Dean Carlisle, Mary Siler, Mellonease (Joe) Scott, and Diane Wilson, all of Troy, AL; two sons, Willie Frank Wilson of Troy, AL; and D. C. (Stephanie) Wilson of Montgomery, AL; a very special grandson, Robert Earl Lee of Troy, AL; seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three sisters: Mae Ola Collins, Dorothy Lee and Mildred Townsend, all of Troy, AL; one brother, West (Helen) Wheeler, Jr. of Dothan, AL; one aunt, one uncle, three sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers were Eddie Collins, Greg Lee, Clarence Wheeler, Doug Wheeler, Frank Wheeler & Willie Wheeler.

Hayden Riley Hartzog

Hayden Riley Hartzog was born and graduated to glory on August 11, 2006.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her mother and father, Erica and David Hartzog of Crestview, FL; one sibling, Andrew Hartzog; maternal grandparents, Ward and Laura Merrill of Dothan, Al; paternal grandparent, Regina Hartzog of Troy and Don Hartzog of Dothan; and three special aunts, Donna Crawley and husband Ben of Troy, Al, Holly Merrill of Dothan, Al, and Carla Merrill of Auburn, Al.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Reverend Patrick Pfrimmer officiating. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be sent to Save a Life Foundation.

Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
