Davis W. Galloway, Jr., (Dave), 77, of Brundidge, died Sunday, August 6, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge on Monday, August 7, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a 30 minute lie-in-state prior to the service at the church.The funeral service will be held at St. John Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Mack King and Reverend W.O. Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery. The family request that memorials be made to St. John Cemetery Fund, the American Heart Association or to Wiregrass Hospice. The pallbearers are his nephews, Chris Galloway, Donald Stewart, Mike Stewart, Morris Galloway, Jr., Keith Maddox and Brandon Napper. The honorary pallbearers are the Mens Sunday School Class at St. John Baptist Church. Survivors include, Wife, Gertrude Galloway of Brundidge, 2 Daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Buddy Ellis of Brundidge and Rhoda and Ken Klatt of Dothan, 1 Son, Randy Galloway of Brundidge, 3 Grandchildren, Chasadie (Clint) Head of Enterprise, Clint (Kristen) Ellis of Fort Worth, Texas, and Joshua Stamey of Troy, 3 Great grandchildren, Trista Head, Madelyn Ellis, and Peyton Stamey, 1 Brother, John (Ann) Galloway of Lafayette, Louisiana, 1 Sister, Patricia Maddox of Mobile, Several brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Davis W. Galloway, Sr. and Leo Galloway, 2 brothers, Morris Galloway and Colbert Galloway, a sister, Doris Stewart and a granddaughter, Valerie Stamey.
