Lucy M. Williams

Services for Lucy M. Williams, 88, of Troy who died August 24, 2006 at Troy Regional Medical Center will be at 1 p.m. August 28, 2006, at First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Hollis officiating.

Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Williams was born September 27, 1917, in Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Ray Tolbert and Blanche Townsend; siblings, Ollie, Vertdell, Luria, Jesse Ray, Robert, Lawrence and Ralph. She was educated in the Pike County Public School system. At an early age she joined the New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Linwood where she served faithfully until her health failed. She met and married Willie Roy who preceded her in death and from this marriage four children were born of which three preceded her in death, Willie Maude, Irma Jean and Mattie Mell. She then met and married C.D. who preceded her in death and from this marriage two children were born.

Survivors include two sons Charles Davis Williams of Westland, Mich., and Travis Williams of Troy; daughter, Virginia Boyd of Detroit, Mich.; son-in-law, James Griffin of Troy; special niece, Mary Helen Shy of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Hazel Carlton and Peggy Gardner both of Detroit; Janie Tolbert and Mary Caldwell both of Montgomery; devoted sister-in-law, Daisy Tolbert of Atlanta, Ga.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a very special daughter-in-law, Shirley Williams of Detroit.

Pallbearers will be Willie Collins, Lamar Boyd, Lamont Boyd, Derek Collins,

Freddie Smith, Michael Collins, Lee Jr. Armstrong and Joseph Cincotta.

Floral bearers will be the granddaughters.

Marie &#8220Oden McLeod” Danner

Services for Rhonda Marie &#8220Oden McLeod” Danner, 52, of Clermont, Fla. who died Thursday,

Aug. 24, 2006 at Hospice House of Lake and Sumter County, Taraves, Fla., will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service, from 9 until 10 a.m., in the chapel.

Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home.

Mrs. Danner was born Jan. 6, 1954, in Mobile. She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas Oden, Sr and Gertrude Hinton Oden. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include, one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Matt Turner, McCalla, Ala.; three grandchildren, Megan, Katie and Julie Middlebrooks, all of McCalla; five brothers, Silas Oden, Jr., Robert Waltman, Jr., Nick Waltman, Leo Waltman and Eddie Waltman and three sisters, Vivian Weaver, Virginia Postell and Ruby Watson.
