Michael Scott Allen

The funeral service of Michael Scott Allen, 17, of 164 Canuga Drive, Albany, who died Thursday, June 15 , 2006, will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church. Rev. Ken Chancellor will officiate. Graveside services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. (CST) at Union Springs Primitive Baptist Church, Brundidge, AL.

A lifelong resident of Albany, Scott was a student at Lee County High School and was a cook at Meatslangers Bar-B-Que and attended Lakeside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Marsh and paternal grandmother, Juanita Allen.

Survivors include his parents, Sam and Julie Allen of Albany, two brothers, Keith and Christopher Allen, both of Albany, maternal grandmother, Joan Marsh of Albany and paternal grandfather, Victor Allen of Troy, AL, and number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.

C.L. Berry , Age 90, of Glenwood , Alabama died Saturday, June 17, 2006 in Luverne, Alabama. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 19, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. from the Chapel of  Dillard Funeral Home  in Troy with Reverend Bobby Weeks officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery .  Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 18, 2006 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Dillard Funeral Home. Survivors include a Loving Wife of 67 Years, Mattie R. Berry of Glenwood,  Son and Daughter-in-law,  Boyd and Sandra Berry of Glenwood,  Daughter and Son-in-law,  Nancy and  Steve Brown of Troy, Grandchildren,  Charles(Angela) Berry of Crestview, Fl., Perry Brown of Troy,  2 Great Grandchildren,  Alexandra and Bryant Berry of Crestview,  Sister, Hilma Baggett of Troy,  Sister-in-law,  Frances Berry of Troy,  A special Caregiver, Debbie Ballard.  Serving as Pallbearers will be Fox Hughes , Michael Hughes,  Walter Sanders, Nick Dawkins, Kenneth Hughens, Charley Red Linton,  Honarary Pallbearers will be Wayne Gibson, Bill Knight, Herschel Norsworthy, Roy Pettus, Joe Lester.  In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to the Glenwood United Methodist Church.
