Willie Lee Pinckard

Mr. Willie Lee Pinckard age 50 died Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Pinckard will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 14th, at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brantley with Brother Robert Canant officiating over the services.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday, April 13th, at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include: sons and daughter-in-law, Jason (Megan) Pinckard of Andalusia, Adam Pinckard of Andalusia; daughter, Kristie Marie Pinckard of Andalusia; brothers and sister-in-law, David Pinckard of Brantley, Steve Pinckard of Loango, Mackie Pinckard of Van Cleave, Miss., Snow (Julie) Pinckard of Troy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye (Byron) Hartin of Loango, Judy Pinckard of Montgomery, Donna (P.J.) McClung of Andalusia, Cherry (Billy) Armour of Luverne, Cathy Pinckard of Montgomery; grandchildren, Kaleb Pinckard and Coston Pinckard.

Pallbearers will include, Jeremy Archie, Ben Harper, E.L. Nelson, Max Sykes, Mike Couch and Billy Ray Floyd.

Lee Estelle Johnson Scarbrough

Lee Estelle Johnson Scarbrough, 99, died at her home Monday, April 10, 2006. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Hephzibah Baptist Church with Reverends Don Hatcher and Greg Aman officiating.

Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Scarbrough was born July 12, 1906.

She was a kind, loving lady who achieved her heart's desire of being a wife and mother.

Her entire life was devoted to her husband, R.T. ,and their four children.

A faithful member of Hephzibah Baptist Church, Mrs. Scarbrough was a member of the Bereans Sunday School class and W.M.U.

She is best remembered wearing her bonnet and mowing her grass into her 90's.

Mrs. Scarbrough was predeceased by her husband, R.T. and two granddaughters, Vicki Purvis Harris and Camille Purvis Benefield.

She is survived by one son, Robert L. &#8220Bob” (Shirley) Scarbrough, Montgomery; three daughters, Rebecca (John R.) Langford, Rose Hill, Ann Bruner, Fort Walton, Florida, and Peggy (Ken) Cox, Troy; seven grandchildren, Duffy Langford, Dr. Gary (JoAnn) Langford, Mary Jorgensen, Becky (Jack) Shuler, Luanne Purvis, Kenny (Lydia) Cox and Taylor (Ross) Jinright; fifteen great grandchildren, Shawn Langford, Foster, Ellie and Kemper Langford, Shannon Shuler, Robert Jorgensen, Macon Estelle Harris, Leila Henderson, Dylan DiPolo, Shelley, Chandler, and John David Cox, Callee, Reed and Wood Jinright; two sisters, Verbie Johnson, Troy and Evie Williamson, Glenwood; two faithful, loving caregivers, Jamie Newman and Laura Everage.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Bereans Sunday School class of Hephzibah Baptist Church.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Hephzibah Baptist Church or the Troy Public Library.

Mattie Faye Holland

Mrs. Mattie Faye Holland, 77, a resident of Troy and formerly of Crenshaw County died Tuesday April 11, 2006. Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday April 14, 2006 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Teal officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Home Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Holland is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Holland. Survivors include six children, Judy (George) Teague of Luverne, Cathleen Bolling of Rutledge, Lamar &#8220Budgie” (Sandra) Holland of Brantley, Allen (Rene)Holland of Munford, TN, Lesia Redman of Troy and Roger (Sandra) Holland of Andalusia; twenty three grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6pm until 8pm.
