A. B. Bean (Bro.) (Bean)

Services for A. B. Bean (Bro.) (Bean), 67, of Troy who died March 23, 2006, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006 at New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in China Grove with Rev. G. E. Calhoun officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home of Troy.

Mr. Bean was born July 12, 1938 in Pike County. He was employed with Wiregrass Construction Company for 39 years and retired in 2004.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cody and Alberta Bean; daughter, Theresa Ann Domineck; brother, Johnny Lee Bean and two great uncles, Otis Ethridge and J. K. Walton.

Survivors include six children, Wylie Owens of Grady, Jay (Aretha) Bean, Danvelle (Rose) Bean, Erica (Fatt) Bean, Nicole( Nappy Head) Bean and Komesha (Pook) Bean all of Troy;

twenty grandchildren; one great-grandson; four brothers, John (Jessie) Bean, Louis (Wilma) Bean, and C. P. (Carolyn) Bean all of Troy and Williams Bean of Anderson, IN; three sisters, Lexie King, Mary Bean and Annie Burns all of Anderson, IN; one devoted sister-in-law, Lois Bean; forty eight nieces and nephews; several other relatives and friends including three very special friends, David Williams, Cody Miller and Malcolm Peterson.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Floral bearers will be his nieces.

Eddie Stewart Jr.

Eddie Stewart Jr., 72, of Troy died Friday, March 24, 2006, at Troy Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held Friday, March 31, 2006, at 11 a .m. at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Samuel Green officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

He was born June 26, 1933, in Troy to the late Eddie and Stellar Stewart. He attended local public schools and was a retired pulpwood worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by three sisters, Betty (King) Isaac of Brundidge, Mary Ryles of Shreeveport, La., and Marsha Stewart of Long Island, N.Y.; two brothers, Willie (Ann) Stewart of Troy and Melvin (Debra) Stewart of McDonough, Ga.; godchildren, James Stewart, Rena Stewart and Reba Guice; two devoted friends, Carolyn Knight and Nick Stewart, both of Troy; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Bishop Mary Q. Mosley-Byrd

Bishop Mary Q. Mosley-Byrd, 83, of Troy died Tuesday, March 28, 2006.

Services will be Saturday, April 1, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Outreach Endtime Deliverance Church of the Living God in Troy with the Rev. Calvin Worthy officiating.

Burrial will follow in Carroll Street Cemetery under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

She will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

She was born Nov. 28, 1922, in Troy to the late John and Maggie O'Bryant. She was educated in the Alabama school system and was retired from the library system at Troy State University.

She was the pastor of the Troy Church of the Living God, The Pillar and Ground of the Truth, Inc. church where she served faithfully for more than 20 years. She served in a church leadership role for more than 40 years in positions that included Elder, Pastor, State Bishop and until her passing, &#8220Church Mother” for the congregation in Troy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include: husband, Deacon James Byrd; five children, Voncile Hall of Syracuse, N.Y., John (Mary) Long of Charleston, S.C., Annie (Willie) Hooten of Clinton, Md., Annie Paul of Birmingham and Tommy (Elnora) Mosley Jr. of Snellville, Ga.; three stepchildren, Ralph (Bessie) Byrd of Lithonia, Ga., Timothy (Vanessa) Byrd of Atlanta and Nadine Byrd of Atlanta; 16 grandchildren; one sister, Mattie Lois Youngblood of Troy; one sister-in-law, Rosie Mae O'Bryant of Knoxville, Tenn.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church members.

Mildred Ann Robinson

Mildred Ann Robinson, 45, of Troy died Friday, March 24, 2006, at Troy Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Beulah Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Banks with the Rev. Henry Reynolds officiating.

Burial will follow in Carroll Street Cemetery under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2006, at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

She was born to the late Sammie and Sarah Robinson on June 14, 1960, in Pike County. She was a graduate of Pike County High School and attended Wallace College in Dothan.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony Robinson; a son, Antwaan Terrell Robinson, both of Brundidge; one brother, James (Della) Thomas of Troy; three aunts, Susie Lee Smith of Troy, Lucille Martin of Chicago, Ill., and Addie Bell Pennington of Banks; three sisters-in-law, Marie (Mitchell) Knox of Decatur, Linda (Jan) Davis of Troy, Maureen Flowers of Anniston; two brothers-in-law, Victor (Mary) Robinson of Clewiston, Fla., Timothy (Jackie) Flowers of Anniston; a beloved friend, Regina Thomas, a very special and faithful friend, L. (Tina) Mill; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
