Willie Louis Siler, 57, of Troy died Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Visitation will be held at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home on Friday, February 3, 2006 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Springhill on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Pastor, Andrew Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Willie Louis (Will) Siler was born to Verbie and the late Henry Siler, Sr. on September 17, 1948. He had the pleasure of growing up with 9 siblings.

Will joined the Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Recently he united with the Higher Ground Ministries.

For many years he was dedicated to his work at Troy Regional Medical Center. During this time, Will created many lasting friendships and touched the lives of countless people. He was truly loved by all.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Siler, Sr. and 2 brothers, Jimmy and Jesse Siler.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory a devoted mother, Mrs. Verbie Y. Siler; 4 brothers, Henry and Bernadette Siler, Jr. and Lamar Siler both of Newark, Delaware; Thomas Siler of Troy and Kenneth and Anabel Siler of Tokyo, Japan; 3 sisters, Mary and Melvin Wright, Barbara Siler and Cheryl Hendricks all of Troy; 3 aunts, Eva Stoudmire and Annie Pearl Siler both of Opp and Louise and Willie Collins of Ozark; 1 uncle, John D. and Erlene Youngblood of Panama City, Florida and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be cousins and friends and the flower bearers will be ushers and friends.

Roscoe Lightfoot

Services for Roscoe Lightfoot, 83, who died January 31, 2006 will be at 12 Noon February 6, 2006 at St Paul A.M.E. Church.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2005 at the funeral home.

He was born April 20, 1922 in Brundidge.

Mr. Lightfoot was a building contractor. He built homes and churches in Crenshaw County, Gadsden, Tuskegee, Ozark, Pike County and the City of Troy.

He was a devoted member of the Greater St. Paul A.M. E. Church in Troy where he served on the Trustee board.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Elizabeth Grubbs; parents, John and Lilly Lightfoot; 4 brothers, John Oliver Lightfoot, George Washington Lightfoot, Tom Lightfoot and James Lightfoot.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Lightfoot of Troy; God son, Clinton Bean of Cincinnati, Ohio; 2 granddaughters, Lexie Javon Ryles and Pamala Bean; 1 grandson, DeMeria Lightfoot (Tiffany); great-grandson, Malcolm Juamkese Lightfoot; great-granddaughter, Kaylan Mapp; devoted niece, Mrs. Marva Pierce; several devoted God children from Troy, Birmingham and Atlanta and several other relatives and friends.

Virginia Sanders Brown

Virginia Sanders Brown, 79, of Warrior died Friday Feb. 3, 2006.

Services will be held Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the Roeton Baptist Church with the Rev. W.O. Sanders and the Rev. Roger Waldrop officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Visitation will be held at the church from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday.

She was preceded in death by her husband Francis H. Brown II, her parents Janius and Estelle Sanders and two brothers.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Francis H. &uot;Rasch&uot; Brown and Skey of New Orleans, a granddaughter, Caroline H. Brown of New Orleans, three sisters, Mary Gregory of Roeton, Martha (Billy) Wilson of Dothan and Louise (Randalph) Johnston of Brundidge, two brothers, Roy (Reba) Sanders of troy and Ray (Theda) Sanders of Roeton, sisters-in-law, Virginia Sanders and Barbara S. McVay.

Her newphews will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
