Calvin Bradley Brown

Calvin Bradley Brown, 83, of Banks died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Banks with the Revs. Marvin Jackson and John Douglas Johnson officiating.

The body lay in state from 1:30-2 p.m. prior to the service.

Burial followed in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

He was born June 11, 1922, in Pike County to the late Calvin Stephen Brown and Cora Knight Brown. He was retired from the state of Alabama and as a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Era Harden of Columbus, Ga., and Mamie Price of Banks.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Eloise Law Brown of Banks; sons and wives, Jerry and Donna Brown of Centreville,

Charles and Dianne Brown of Banks; grandsons and wives, Barclay and Lisa Brown of Centreville, Greg and Renee Brown of Banks, Brad and Kerri Brown of Centreville; great grandchildren Britney, Jeremy and Devan Brown of Centreville, Morgan, Montana and Weston Brown of Banks and Jen Newman of Centreville; a brother, Bryant Brown of Banks; sisters, Estelle McVay of Seale, Bessie Burton of Brundidge and Agnes Green of Josie.

Adam Wayne Davis

Spc. Adam Wayne Davis, 25, of Montgomery, died at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Wednesday, February 22, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Friday, February 24, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be held at Antioch Baptist Church on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Keith Reynolds and Reverend Roger Waldrop officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with full military honors. The honorary pallbearers are his Co-workers at CSMS #1. He is survived by Wife, Tammy Davis and &uot;Baby Davis&uot; due August 2006 of Montgomery, Parents, Billy and Melba Davis of Troy,

Sister, Karen Davis of Troy, Grandparents, Joe and June Copeland of Troy, Grandmother, Beulah Davis of Brundidge, Great Grandmother, Lucy Knight of Troy, 3 Nephews, Gage, Kane and Tate Knighten of Troy, Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, L.W. Davis. He was a member of the Alabama National Guard for 8 years.

Richard Tarver Johnson

Richard Tarver Johnson, 78, of Goshen, died at his home, Tuesday, February 21, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Thursday, February 23, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Friday, February 24, 2006 at 10:30 AM with Reverend W.O. Sanders, Reverend Dean Johnson and Reverend Andy Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow at Little Oak Cemetery, in Goshen. The family request that memorials be made to Wiregrass Hospice of Troy or your favorite charity. The pallbearers are Carter Sanders, Richard T. Johnson, III, Russell Johnson, Chad Ammons, Bart Snyder, and Roy Folmar. The honorary pallbearers are CSX-T Railroad Employees and Former Employees. Survivors include, Wife, Nadine Johnson Johnson of Goshen, 3 Sons, Richard T. (Lynn) Johnson, Jr. of Mobile, Charles B. (Tammy) Johnson of Pensacola, Florida, and William D. Johnson of Fairhope, 6 Grandchildren, Jennifer (Chad) Ammons of Spanish Fort, Richard T. (Amanda) Johnson, III of Mobile, Ashleigh (Richard) Lake of Flowood, Mississippi, Serena Johnson of Fairhope, Russell D. Johnson of Mobile, and Michael D. Johnson of Fairhope, 3 Great grandchildren, Christopher Ammons, Jordan Ammons, and Carleigh Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.J. and Lucy Brown Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a native of Pike County and long time resident of Montgomery, Elmore and Baldwin Counties.

He served in WWII, Navy Pacific Theater, he became a Diesel fireman for L&N Railroad and was promoted to Diesel Engineer and Road Forman of Engines on Montgomery/Mobile Division CSX-T Railroad.

Orun G. Reeves

Orun G. Reeves, 87 of Troy died Tuesday, February 14, 2006 in Troy.

Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Saturday, February 25, 2006 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will be held Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Bo Weed officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy. He is survived by 2 sons, Raymond O. Reeves and Cecil R. Reeves, one daughter and son-in-law, Janet Reeves-Kelley and Jackie R. Kelley, 3 granddaughters, Angela Pirrone, Diana Fiore and Mariah Reeves-Kelley and 2 great granddaughters, Kahea Pirrone and Alia Pirrone.

James David Sikes, Jr.

James David Sikes, Jr., 64, of Needmore Road, died at his home, Wednesday, February 22, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Thursday, February 23, 2006

from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Friday, February 24, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Bo Weed and Reverend Lavon Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Davis, Sr., Ronnie Morgan, Jay Edwards, Butch Powell, Tommy Dillard and Bryant Davis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hoss Davis, Lavone McVay, E.C. Booker and Jerry Senn. He is survived by his wife, Judy Sikes of Needmore, his 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Dave and Jeanell Sikes of Needmore, and Eddy Sikes of Needmore, and his 2 grandchildren, Kimberly Sikes, and T.J. Sikes.
