Rue Seymore Marler

Mrs. Rue Seymore Marler, 73, of Elba died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at her home in Elba.

Funeral services were held at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donnie Marler officiating.

Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery in Elba. Visitation was at Hayes Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 13, 2006. from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Sybil L. Stone

Sybil L. Stone, 87, of Troy died Jan. 12, 2006.

The funeral will follow visitation at 4 p.m. at the church.

Visitation was at the Murphy's Chapel United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan., 13, 2006, with the Rev. Bob Brown officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Murphy's Chapel United Methodist Church c/o Bob Brown, 9609 County Road 7708, Troy, Alabama 36081 or your favorite charity.

She is preceded in death by her sisters Martha Stone Barbaree and Ruby Stone Chancellor, one brother Willie Harley (Rock) Stone, one nephew, Tommy Stone Chancellor and her parents, Mattie and Tom Stone.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews, Joyce and Claude Davis of Greenville, William (Jean) Stone of Titus, Myra (Mervin) Sunday of Equality, Betty P. Chancellor of Troy, great nieces and nephews, Pam (John) Craft of Montgomery and Keith (Mary Carolyn) Davis of Montgomery, Kaye (Glen) Davis of Montgomery, Matt Sunday of Equality and Jenny (Keith) Brennan of Wetumpka, Jessica Stone of Titus.

Pallbearers will be John Thomas Coston, Keith Davis, Glen Davis, Paul Davis, Wayne Davis, and Tommy Peacock.
