Annie Pearl Passmore

Mrs. Annie Pearl Passmore, 83, of Troy died December 20, 2005, at Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on December 23, 2005, at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Julius Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery, with Harrison Funeral Home directing. Visitation is scheduled for December 22, 2005. Pallbearers and floralbearers will be friends of the family.

Born February 20, 1922 in Pike County to the late Thomas Starks and Ola Green Starks, she was a member of the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Jackson and Ola Bell Starks of Troy; goddaughter Gracie Hicks of Tampa, Fla., two children she raised, Dddie D. Harris and Thomas Hannah of Tampa; one sister-in-law Josephine Starks of Tampa; four god grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ruby Lee Dansby

Ruby Lee Dansby, 81, of Brundidge, died after a lengthy illness Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at Extendicare Hospice Facility in Dothan. Visitation will be held at Dillard funeral Home in Brundidge, Thursday, December 22, 2005, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held Friday, December 23, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Richland Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Andrews officiating. Burial will follow at Richland Baptist Church Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Pallbearers will be Rusty Williams, Phillip Johnson, Jody Enfinger, Tex Rankin, Phil Evans, Shane Winsett and Eddie Turner. Honorary pallbearers are the women's Sunday school class of Richland Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Dansby and her son, Alto B. Dansby.

Survivors include daughters Shirley (Kent) Oder of Dothan, Jean Johnson of Dothan and Pat (Gary) Barnett of Abbeville; sons, Danny L. Dansby of Opelika and Robert L. Dansby of Brundidge, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; stepsons carl Dansby of Birmingham and Lamond Dansby of Troy; sister, Beatrice Nowell of Dothan; and very special caregivers of Extendicare Hospice Facility.
