Albert Lee Hastey

Mr. Albert Lee Hastey, age 93, of Brundidge, Alabama died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005 at the Troy Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge with the Reverend Bobby Hood Officiating, burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge. In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to the Salem Baptist Church or your favorite charity. Jo Hastey, Gerald Murphy, Mike Armstrong, Joey Strother, Barron Strother and Hank Strother will serve as active pallbearers.  The board of Directors and Staff of the First National Bank will act as Honorary Pallbearers.

He is Survived by his wife Susie Strother Hastey of Brundidge, children Nancey (Rick) Tillman of Portland, Melissa Ausbon of Bonita Springs, Fla., Julie Ausbon of Naples, Fla. And Wes Ausbon of Columbus, Ga. His Grandchildren Kristin Ausbon, Tucker Tillman and Tess Tillman. Sisters and Brothers Helen and David Doster, Jean Hugo, Lillian Scarbrough, Lutie Alexander, Mary Alice and Ben Bolton, Luther and Martha Ann Hastey and Edward and Nell Hastey.

Willie Lee &uot;Bill&uot; Holmes

Willie Lee &uot;Bill&uot; Holmes, age 85, of Opp died Friday, November 25 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, at 10 a.m. at Wyatt Funeral Home with Joe Rhymes officiating. Burial at Peaceful Acres Cemetery will follow the service.

Visitation is scheduled from 6 p.m until 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 27.

He was born in Alabama on March 21, 1920. The retired equipment operator was also a veteran.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sharon Holmes; two brothers, Junior Holmes and Earnest Holmes; a sister, Mary Alice Goodson; and two grandchildren, James David Holmes and Stephen Gregory Holmes; and three grandchildren; all of Opp.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Brundidge United Methodist Church.
