Pauline B. Armstrong

Pauline B. Armstrong, 76, of Brundidge died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, in Montgomery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Armstrong will be held Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge, with the Rev. Bobby Hood officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Salem Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William I. Armstrong; a daughter and son-in-law, Katrina and Ralph Thames of Montgomery; a son and daughter-in-law Michael and Annell Armstrong of Prattville; grandchildren Reese Armstrong, Tim Berryhill, Trent and Tyler Thames, Strother Kukes Raleigh Wurts and Ramsey Kukes;

two great-grandchildren, Joseph Barron Berryhill and John Roberts Berryhill; three sisters, Loudean Jordan, Dorothy Crawford and Carolyn Tucker; two brothers, Clark Boman Jr. and Ira Boman; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dinah Kukes.

Active pallbearers will be Rance Jordan, Randy Boman, Trent Thames, Tyler Thames, Tim Berryhill and Robert Mclendon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kyle Robinson, Bob Thrash, J.W. Teal, Robert Drinckard, Max Avant, Don Sawyer and Noah Gene Black.

Bennie M. Crunk

Miss Bennie M. Crunk, 75, of Troy died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, at Troy Medical Center. Memorial services were at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at God's Way Baptist Church in Troy, with Rev. Craig Holmes officiating. Skeen Funeral Home Troy directing.

Affectionately known around Troy as the hat lady, she was born Aug. 5, 1930, in Gray, Okla. Her parents were Wesley Pascal Crunk and Ada Millie Genty Crunk. She was an active member of the God's Way Baptist Church and was known for her generosity in volunteer work. She loved the Troy area and had a great love for its people.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kline Crunk and Wesley Crunk; and two sisters, Athaline Williams and Mary Nyord.

Survivors include a brother and his wife, Thomas J. and Evelyn Hill of Houston, Texas; nieces Cindy Scardeno of Oklahoma City, and Sherry Wells of Onalaska, Texas; and nephews Steven Hill of Livinton, Texas and Todd Price of Troy.
