Jerelyn W. Shelby

Jerelyn W. Shelby, 76, of Troy and a resident of Daphne died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at her home.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Montgomery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

She is survived by two sons, Edwin Shelby of Birmingham and Richard (Cara) Shelby of Fairhope; her twin sister, Marilyn Curtis of Montgomery, who died the following morning, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Glenda Stokes Weeks

Glenda Stokes Weeks, 60, of Elba, died Sunday, May 29, 2005, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.

Services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Doster officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Haven Church Cemetery with Hayes Funeral Home directing.

Visitation was held Monday, May 30, 2005, from 6-8 p.m.

She was preceded in death by her father William Eugene Farris and her husband, Paul Stokes.

Survivors include: her mother, Ollie Belle Farris of Elba; daughters, Candi Stokes of Montgomery and Gena (Craig) Boswell of Goshen; step-son, Doug (Ida) Weeks of Elba; brother, Dawson(Frankie) Farris of Elba; sister, Jean (Joe) Spurlin of Elba; sister, Beth (Lamar) Henderson of Elba; granddaughter, Whitney Chancellor of Montgomery; granddaughter, Emily Boswell; grandson, John Paul Boswell; granddaughter, Jessica Boswell; granddaughter, Allison Boswell; grandson, Cody Boswell all of Goshen; granddaughter Elizabeth Weeks and Paige Weeks of Elba and her best friend, Don Weeks of Elba.
