Evelyn Maud Harris Williford Shaw

Mrs. Evelyn Maud Harris Williford Shaw, 98, former longtime resident of Troy, Alabama, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the home of her son, Mack Shaw, in Columbia, Tennessee.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy, Alabama with Rev. Jerome "Bo" Weed officiating.

The Pike County, Alabama native was the daughter of the late James E. "Jinks" Harris and Katie Childs Harris.

She loved her Lord, her family, her friends and her Baptist Church.

She was a master quilter, fabulous cook and grew incredibly beautiful flowers.

Survivors include two sons, William Edward "Bill" (Peggy) Shaw of Panama City, Florida and J. Mack (Martha) Shaw of Columbia; a daughter-in-law, Edna Williford of Columbia; a brother-in-law, Lamar "Pete" (Smitty) Shaw; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles T. Williford who died in 1926, her husband of fifty-nine years, William Ellison Shaw; a son, T. Earl Williford, and twenty brothers and sisters.
