Maggie Flint Butler

Maggie Flint Butler, 75, of Brundidge, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles P. Butler, Jr. and children Paul (Barbara Gene) Butler, Mark (Nikki) Butler, and Patrice B. Craig.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Amanda Moore, Callen Butler, Chess Butler, Shea Butler, Kyrie Butler, and Quinn Butler and great grandson, Flecher Moore.

Survivors also include her brothers and sisters, W.C. Flint, Jr., Bryan (Mary) Flint, Matt (Mart) Flint, Marie Barrett, Dorothy Murphy, Flora (Royce) Breazeale, and her beloved pet, Missy. There are also a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and friends.

Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Flint, Sr. of Ethel, MS, and her brother Sherrell Flint.

Services were 2 p.m. Thursday at Stonewall Memorial Chapel in Ethel, MS with burial in the family cemetery, Stonewall, in Ethel, MS

Pallbearers are Rod Murphy, Justin Loftin, Kent Breazeale, Leo Hughes, Kim Jurgens, and Mattew Jurgens.

Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Barrett, John Curry, Bill Flint, Mike Breazeale, Keith Breazeale, David Flint, Bryan Flint, Jr. ,Barry Loftin, Jimmy Roby, Bill Myers, D.M.D., Ramon Jackson, William Roby, and Billy Powell.

Reverend E.T. Horton

Reverend E.T. Horton, 90 of Montgomery died Thursday, January 27, 2005 in Montgomery.  The visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, Friday, January 28, 2005, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  There will be a 30-minute lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be held at Springfield Baptist Church, Saturday, January 29, 2005, at 11 a.m., with Reverend Robert Thornton, Reverend Paul Horton, Reverend Charles Duncan and Reverend John Emfinger officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Simuel Wilson, Montgomery; grandchildren, Jeff and Betsy Wilson, Birmingham; John and Tammi Horton, Alabaster; and Paul and Kristian Horton, New Orleans, La.; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Hannah and Sam Wilson, Birmingham; Jonathan and Cain Horton, Alabaster; Alyssa and Alyna Horton, New Orleans, La.; brothers, Melvin Horton, Horton, Ala., and Kenneth Horton, Cullman; sisters, Nellie Morrow and Ruby Bowen, Horton, Ala.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Horton, son, Gary Horton, parents, Ernest and Lillie Horton, sisters, Eva Mae Horton, Nila Faye Howse, and brother, Reverend Myron Horton.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Wilson, John Horton, Paul Horton, Stan Bowen, Barry Horton, Steve Morrow, Jerry Copeland, and Ray Copeland.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
