Hannah Margaret Bowden Daws

Hannah Margaret Bowden Daws died Thursday, July 8, 2004 at her residence near Brundidge after an extended illness. She was 89, born January 7, 1915.

Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge will be in charge of the arrangements. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service at Springfield Baptist Church where she was a member.

Rev. John Emfinger & Rev. Craig Holmes will be officiating. The service will be Saturday, July 10, 2004 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery

Mrs. Daws was widowed twice. Her husbands were Pete Slayton and Milton Daws. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Foreman and Zenobia Wilson Bowden; two brothers, Emery and Leroy and three sisters, Bonnie Mae Senn, Foy Adams and Frances McBride.

She is survived by two brothers, Foreman of Eufaula and Frank of Hamilton, Georgia; three sisters, Loureen Volet of Troy, Kathryn Walker and Virginia Bryan of Brundidge; two sisters-in-law, Treva Bowden and Fay Bowden; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Walker and Willie Bryan and many nieces and nephews will also grieve her passing.

Daisy Juanita Beasley

Daisy Juanita Beasley, a resident of Troy, died Tuesday, July 6, 2004. Funeral services will beat 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2004, at Leak Memory Chapel with Rev. Michael Alsup officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Beasley loved to garden and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Troy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Beasley; her parents, Ernest and Virginia Mustin and one brother, Thomas Mustin. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Beasley Holmes and husband, Steve; two grandchildren, Alison and Adam Holmes; brothers, James "Doodle" Mustin, Charles Mustin and J.Q. Mustin; one sister, Mary Alice Law;  sisters-in-law Judy Beasley and Jean Sanders; brothers-in-law Ted Beasley and Ray Beasley, and several other relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Troy. Visitation will be Saturday at Leak Memory from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Leak Memory Chapel directing.
